JAKARTA - Two members of the DKI Jakarta DPRD's National Mandate Party (PAN) faction, Guruh Tirta Lunggana and Riano Ahmad, decided to leave PAN and move to become cadres of the United Development Party (PPP).

Currently, the son of the late Haji Lulung and Riano already has a PPP membership card (KTA). To reporters, Guruh admitted to following Lulung's footsteps by joining PPP because he wanted to increase the number of PPP votes in the next legislative election.

As is known, during the 2009-2014 period, PPP got 10 seats in the DKI DPRD and got a seat for the Deputy Chairperson of the DKI Jakarta DPRD.

"In terms of his aspirations and hopes, the most important priority is to restore PPP's glory. So, what is clear is that the deceased's struggle has not been completed yet," said Guruh in Jakarta, Thursday, April 14.

Guruh admitted that he and Riano had submitted a letter of resignation from the party to the General Chairman of PAN, Zulkifli Hasan. Guruh also emphasized that they did not have a conflict with PAN when they decided to change parties.

"In our PAN there are no problems, so we leave on good terms in the PAN. Since the end of March we have submitted a letter and submitted a letter to Pak Ketum (Zulkifli Hasan)," said Guruh. Therefore, Guruh also stated that he was ready to be dismissed during the interim replacement process (PAW) with other PAN cadres.

"That (PAW) is still in the process, because it is the party's business and the party's authority to carry out the process. But at the council it is still because we are still waiting, after the decision letter from the Ministry of Home Affairs comes out,” said Guruh.
