JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Reform (Menpan RB) Tjahjo Kumolo said state civil servants (ASN) may take annual leave before and after Eid 1443 Hijri joint leave.

"The granting of (annual) leave is left entirely to the authority of the Personnel Guidance Officer (PPK) of each agency, adjusted to the workload, nature and characteristics of the duties of each government agency," Tjahjo said in a statement to reporters in Jakarta, Thursday, April 14. quoted from Antara.

He added that in a ministerial meeting on Friday (1/4), there was a request from the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the Ministry of Transportation that civil servants be allowed to add annual leave before and after Eid al-Fitr 1443 Hijri joint leave.

"This is intended to be able to help break up the dense flow of going home during the holiday period with Eid al-Fitr," he added.

With the additional opportunity for Eid leave, Tjahjo appealed to all ASN employees who were going home to strictly implement travel protocols and health protocols, in line with the regulations from the COVID-19 Task Force.

"Basically, the President's directives have allowed the public to carry out Eid al-Fitr homecoming with certain travel conditions," he said.

The provisions for annual leave in addition to the Eid al-Fitr joint leave period are regulated by Tjahjo in Circular Letter Number 13 of 2022 concerning ASN Employee Leave during the National Holiday Period and Joint Leave for Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri, which was signed in Jakarta, Wednesday (13/4).

In the decree, the government set a joint leave for Eid Al-Fitr 1443 Hijri to last for four days, namely on April 29 and May 4, 5, 6.
