The Death Of A 2-year-old Boy At The Lenteng Agung Well Is Considered Unreasonable, The Health Center Refuses To Issue A Death Certificate

JAKARTA - The process of obtaining a death certificate for a two-year-old toddler who died when he fell into a well in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta, had experienced difficulties. This was conveyed by one of the residents around the location of the incident near the victim's house, next to the Lenteng Agung train track.

Residents said that the Jagakarsa health center refused to provide a death certificate because the family had to include the results of the post-mortem from the hospital. Meanwhile, the victim's family did not perform a post-mortem on the toddler's body.

"The death certificate was rejected today (Puskesmas) because it was judged that his death was not natural. Meanwhile, the family doesn't hold a post-mortem anymore," he said when met on Jalan Raya Lenteng Agung Barat, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, Wednesday, April 13.

The source who did not want to give his name again said that the reason the family did not do the post-mortem was because the family did not want to make it difficult for the victim to be buried.

"Because the family has given it up, it's a big family deal. So I just want a death certificate," he said.

Hilal, the victim's uncle, confirmed that his family refused to do a post-mortem because they didn't want to see the victim buried for too long.

"Not divisum, so it won't be too long," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a boy with the initials O (2) died after falling into a well 15 meters deep near his house in Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta.

Head of South Jakarta Fire Operations Section Herbert said the incident occurred on Tuesday, April 12, at 13.00 WIB. However, his party received the report at 22.30 WIB.

"Yes, that's right, the boy was found dead," Herbert said in his statement, Wednesday, April 13.
