REJANG LEBONG - The Bengkulu Regional State Intelligence Agency (BIN) held a COVID-19 vaccination in Rejang Lebong by targeting hundreds of recipients of direct cash assistance (BLT) for cooking oil.

Coordinator of Region III BIN Bengkulu Region Kombes Edi Bastari said the vaccination was carried out for giving 1, 2 and 3 doses or boosters.

"The COVID-19 vaccination activity carried out today refers to Presidential Decree number 14 of 2021, related to the procurement and implementation of vaccinations in the context of handling the COVID-19 pandemic," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, April 13.

Edi explained that during the distribution of BLT cooking oil in that area, there were still recipients who participated in the 1st dose of vaccination so that the next disbursement of aid would be more selective in distributing social assistance.

The vaccination activity that was held by his party, said Edi, was carried out in collaboration with local Health Office officers, TNI/Polri. The implementation of this vaccination is not only carried out in Rejang Lebong Regency but also in Kepahiang Regency and Lebong Regency.

According to him, the community who received BLT cooking oil under the Curup Post Office reached 34,853 KPM or the beneficiary families spread across the Rejang Lebong Regency as many as 18,545 KPM, Lebong Regency as many as 7,564 KPM and Kepahiang Regency as many as 8,744 KPM.

Meanwhile, Head of the Curup Post Office, Andi Permana, stated that the recipient of the cooking oil BLT also received the BLT payment for basic necessities. For Rejang Lebong Regency, the number of recipients reached 18,545 KPM. The recipients of this assistance came from the Non-Cash Food Assistance program (BPNT) and the Family Hope program (PKH) spread across 15 sub-districts in Rejang Lebong.

Each recipient received assistance of Rp. 500,000 consisting of Rp. 300,000 BLT for cooking oil for payments in April, May and June. Then added with the disbursement of basic food BLT or BPNT for the month of May of Rp. 200,000.
