JAKARTA - The South Jakarta State Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) and the Indonesian Attorney General's Office (AGO) have again saved the state's loss of Rp54 billion for corruption.

The Head of the South Jakarta Attorney General's Office, Nurcahyo Jungkung Madyo, said that his party saved Rp54 billion of state money from corruption cases involving PT Indosat Mega Media (IM2).

"The Executing Prosecutor's Team of the Attorney General's Office and the South Jakarta District Attorney's Office have again saved the state's loss of Rp. 54,250,691,139," explained Head of the South Jakarta Prosecutor's Office, Nurcahyo Jungkung Madyo, to reporters, Wednesday, April 13.

Nurcahyo said that the case occurred because of irregularities in the 2.1 Ghz Radio Frequency Band cellular mobile network by selling the third generation (3G) broadband internet belonging to PT. Indosat, Tbk which is recognized as an IM2 Product with the Access Pint Name (APN) at the time of activation or sale to the public.

The act is contrary to Article 33 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 36 of 1999 concerning Telecommunications and Article 58 paragraph (3) of Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia Number: 52 of 2000 concerning the operation of telecommunications.

"The actions of PT IM2 are proven to be contrary to Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number: 31 of 1999 as amended and added to the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code," he said.

Nurcahyo also said that earlier on Wednesday, March 23, the Executing Prosecutor's Team had managed to save the state's financial losses that had been deposited amounting to Rp253,356,420,991. Then, today it was added again in the form of cash amounting to Rp54,250,691,139.

"The total rescue of state financial losses that have been deposited by the Prosecutor to date is Rp. 307,607,112,130," he explained.

He added that there are still several assets from the execution of the seizure to be carried out immediately for an assessment (assessment) in order to meet the replacement penalty amounting to Rp1,358,343,346,674.

The details are in the form of 1 unit of office building which stands on a land area of 24,440 M1 2 3 4 5 owned by PT Indosat Mega Media (IM2).

Then, 1 building unit which stands on a 788 M2 land area belonging to PT Indosat Mega Media (IM2), Mechanical Electric and supporting inventory for the office building owned by PT Indosat Mega Media (IM2), 14 (fourteen) four-wheeled motorized vehicles. and 6 units of two-wheeled motorized vehicles. Lastly, receivables from PT Indosat Mega Media (IM2) with a total value of Rp.23,443,546,719.
