JAKARTA - Deputy Head of Central Jakarta Metro Police AKBP Setyo Koes Heriyanto appealed to those who had not been caught burning the Pejompongan Police Post to surrender immediately.

"Three arsonists have been named suspects. We are still investigating and the names of the friends of the three perpetrators have been identified. We remind them to turn themselves in. Otherwise, we will make arrests," said AKBP Setyo Koes Heriyanto to VOI, Tuesday 18 April.

The Deputy Chief of the Central Jakarta Metro Police further said that it was possible that there would be additional suspects in the Pejompongan postal fire case.

"It is possible (there are additional suspects), if we find evidence and there is new information and new evidence," he said.

Currently, the Central Jakarta Metro Police Satreskrim are still investigating their motivation for burning the Pejompongan Police Post.

"We have to reveal who knows if there is a master mind (mastermind) from that action. The perpetrators of the arson (Pospol Pejompongan) are demonstrators. We can't tell the difference between the original demonstrators or the wild group, which is clear they were present in the DPR at that time," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that the Central Jakarta Metro Police officially named three suspects for the burning of the Pejompongan Police Post, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta on Tuesday, April 12, afternoon.

The three suspects had the initials AF (17), RS (22) and RE (19). They are a group from Bekasi City.

As a result of his actions, the three suspects were charged with Article 187 of the Criminal Code regarding the burning of Jo 170 of the Criminal Code with the threat of imprisonment for 5 years.
