One Family Kills Burned: Residents Break Down Workshop Rolling Doors To Save Victims, Kira's Neighbors Are Fighting

JAKARTA - Residents of Jalan Warakas, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta still did not expect a fire that killed one family at once in a motorcycle repair shop in the form of a shop house.

As told by Sri Lestari (65), a neighbor of the victim, she did not expect that the people she saw everyday died horribly.

At first, Sri thought that the crowd beside her house was due to the brawls of the local residents. But he was even more shocked when he was asked to leave the house by residents because the fire was getting bigger.

"I got up at 2.30, got up, got ready to prepare food for sahur. Then the children were already banging loudly, I thought it was a brawl. When I opened the curtains, Mrs. Sri when met by VOI at the location, Tuesday, April 12.

Sri admitted that he heard the explosion from inside the shop where the victim lived. Sri thought that the source of the explosion came from the compressor or the motor in the workshop.

"As soon as the bang exploded a big fire. I thought it was an explosion from the compressor, it was a repair shop, but it could also be a motorbike. Because it's a repair shop," he said.

Sri said that the residents were overwhelmed because the rooling door of the workshop was difficult to open. But until the end can be dismantled, the condition of the victim has been roasted to death.
