JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya secured 80 students who wanted to take part in the action at the National Monument (Monas) area, Central Jakarta. The students will be sent home soon after the examination.

"We have secured around 80 students at Monas. So maybe tonight we will immediately return them," said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Fadil Imran at the DPR building, Jakarta, Monday, April 11.

Inspector General Fadil emphasized that his party would investigate whether or not the students were motivated, so that they finally wanted to take part in the action.

"Earlier, there were students that we categorized as liquid period. We studied whether this was pure liquid or whether there was something that moved it," he said.

Previously, it was known that 20 students had infiltrated a group of students who were carrying out a long march towards the back of the DPR/MPR building on Jalan Palmerah Timur towards the Youth Gate.

The teenagers, who were wearing white and gray uniforms, were immediately stopped by the police and asked to pull over to the side of the road. They were immediately examined and searched by officers.

Some of them seemed to be carrying bags containing textbooks at school. In addition, there were about seven adult males who were also detained along with the students.

The officers suspected that the group of students and adult men wanted to cause a riot during the demonstration in front of the DPR building.

"Infiltrated a group of students. You want to make this riot for sure," said one of the officers while checking the students' belongings.
