Russia Claims Downed One Mi-24 Helicopter, Two Sukhoi Fighter Jets And Destroyed Four Ukrainian S-300 Defense Systems

JAKARTA - The Russian military has again claimed to have succeeded in destroying the main weapon system equipment (Alutsista) of Ukraine, this time the fighter jets and air defense systems belonging to the Kyiv army were successfully disabled.

Russian Defense Ministry spokesman Major General Igor Konashenkov said his troops managed to shoot down two Ukrainian Sukhoi Su-25 ground attack fighter jets on Monday.

"Russian air defense systems shot down two Ukrainian Su-25 aircraft near the Izyum region," the spokesman said, citing TASS April 11.

Russian troops also removed three Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) near the Balakleya area of the Kharkov Region, Gulyai Pole and Volnovakha. There was also a downed Valkyrie drone near the Kalininskoye settlement in the Nikolayev Region.

Russian troops also shot down a Ukrainian Mi-24 helicopter with concentrated small arms fire near the Posad-Pokrovskoye community in the Kherson Region, the spokesman continued.

On the same occasion, the Russian Defense Ministry said it succeeded in destroying four S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems using sea-launched Kalibr missiles, injuring up to 25 Ukrainian military personnel.

"On Sunday, April 10, a sea-launched Kalibr precision missile launched a strike against the southern suburbs of the city of Dnepr to remove the hardware from a battalion of S-300 surface-to-air missiles delivered to the Kiev regime by a European country and hidden in hangars, " he explained.

"Overall, the following targets have been destroyed since the start of the special military operation: 129 aircraft, 99 helicopters, 243 S-300, Buk-M1 and Osa AKM surface-to-air missile systems, 441 unmanned aerial vehicles, 2,079 tanks and armored vehicles. other armor, 239 multiple launch rocket systems, 909 field artillery guns and mortars as well as 2,003 special military motor vehicles," he explained.

He added that Russian warplanes managed to obliterate 78 Ukrainian military facilities, including three positions of short-range surface-to-air missile systems, as well as repair bases for the Ukrainian armed forces and two ammunition depots.
