He explained that the suspect was arrested on Friday, October 2 in the morning, in the Sukalanting area, Kubu Raya Regency. When he was about to be secured, the suspect attempted suicide by drinking a kind of grass poison liquid, and was rescued after being hospitalized.

"From the beginning we suspected Al suspect, this is reinforced by existing evidence, such as CCTV footage, and related to the whereabouts of the suspects who disappeared since the discovery of the bodies of the victims, namely the suspect's siri wife, Umi (40), and her stepson, Geby. (18), as well as the suspect's unreachable cellphone number, "he said.

Komarudin added that his party continues to investigate the motive for the alleged murder. "Because until now the suspect is being investigated intensively," he said

According to him, the police can arrest the suspected murder based on public reports. "As soon as we get information, our team immediately follows up, so that people who have been under suspicion can be arrested," he said.

Earlier, Wednesday, September 23, residents of Banjar Serasan Urban Village, East Pontianak District, were shocked by the finding of the bodies of a mother and child in a locked house who was strongly suspected of being the victim of murder.

Both were identified as home owners, namely Umi (40), and Geby (18), who died covered in blood.
