Polda Metro Diverts Traffic At The State Palace During Student Demonstration

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya plans to divert the flow of vehicle traffic around the State Palace, Central Jakarta during the student action on Monday, April 11, tomorrow.

"Medan Merdeka Barat Road will be closed at 08.30 WIB because wire fences and water barriers will be installed in both directions," said Traffic Director of the Polda Metro Jaya Police Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo in Jakarta, Sunday, April 10.

He explained that the traffic flow would be diverted to Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan and Budi Kemuliaan and also Harmoni directions to the State Palace would be closed.

Not only in the area of the State Palace, the flow of traffic in the area of the DPR/MPR RI building will also be engineered but adjusted to the situation.

"If the crowd is large enough, the flow will be closed under the flyover and will be diverted to Jalan Pintu Pemuda," he added.

The traffic engineering in the State Palace area, namely:

1. Traffic flow that will go to Jalan Veteran III is straightened out to Traffic Light Harmoni

2. Traffic flow from Jalan Merdeka Timur which will go to Jl. Merdeka Utara/State Palace turned right Jl. Commissioned Officer

3. Traffic flow from Jalan Ridwan Rais that will go to Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan is straightened out to Jalan Medan Merdeka Timur.

4. Traffic flow from Jalan MH Thamrin which will go to the Horse Statue Roundabout is turned left or right towards Jalan Kebon Sirih.

5. Traffic Flow from Jl. Abdul Muis who will turn left onto Jl. Budi Kemuliaan straightened to Jl. Fachrudin and traffic flow from Jl. Fachrudin who will turn right onto Jl. Budi Kemuliaan straightened to Jl. Abdul Muis.

6. Traffic Flow from Jl. Tanah Abang II which will go straight to Jl. Museum to the left or right, traffic flow from Jl. Majapahit which will turn left onto Jl. The museum is straightened to Jl Abdul Muis and Traffic Flow from Jl. Abdul Muis who will turn right onto Jl. The museum is straightened to Jalan Majapahit.

7. Traffic Flow from Jl. Hayam Wuruk which will go straight to Jl. Majapahit turned left onto Jl. Juanda and Traffic Flow from Jl. Suryo Pranoto who will go to Jl. Ir. H Juanda turned left Jl. Gajah Mada

8. Traffic Flow from Jl. Abdul Muis who will go to Jl. Majapahit turned left Jl. Tanah Abang II

9. Traffic Flow from Jl. The cathedral which will lead to Jl. Veterans turned right towards Pasar Baru

10. Traffic Flow from Jl. Veteran Raya who will head to Jl. Veterans I straightened out towards Traffic Light Harmoni

11. Traffic Flow from JI. Veteran Raya which will go to Jl. Veterans II straightened out in the direction of Traffic Harmoni.
