Police Ready To Secure April 11 Demo In Central Java

SEMARANG - The police are ready to secure demonstrations by a number of elements of society which are planned to be held in various areas in Central Java on Monday, April 11.

"In principle, the National Police is ready to secure any demonstrations that will be held," said Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy, in Semarang, as reported by Antara, Sunday, April 10.

According to him, the expression of opinions in public is part of democracy and is guaranteed by law.

Therefore, he continued, the police were escorting and securing these activities so that these activities would not interfere with other community activities.

Moreover, he said, the activity was held in the middle of the fasting month.

Therefore, he appealed to the demonstration participants to obey the rules and order in participating in the action in the middle of the month of Ramadan.

"The police are ready to put forward the humanist element. Therefore, the participants in the action are requested to work together so that the demonstration runs in an orderly manner and is not anarchic," he said.

Demonstrations of various elements of society will be held in various areas of Central Java on April 11, 2022.

A number of things will be voiced during the demonstration, such as refusing to extend the presidential term, postponing the 2024 election to maintaining the stability of prices for basic necessities.
