One Person Dies As A Victim Of A Brawl At Sahur In North Bambu City

JAKARTA - A young man with the initials Muhammad Diaz (20) was suspected of being a victim of a brawl in the area of Jalan Kota Bambu Utara, Palmerah, West Jakarta, April 9, early in the morning. He died after getting slashed in the chest.

Palmerah Police Chief, AKP Dodi Abdulrohim confirmed the brawl incident. The incident occurred on Saturday, April 9, at 03.00 WIB.

He said there were three people who were victims of the incident, one of whom died. However, when asked further about the chronology of the incident, Dodi was reluctant to explain.

"That's right, a brawl, one person died," said Dodi when contacted, Saturday, April 9.

When met, one of the local residents, Heri admitted that he was surprised when a brawl occurred which killed one teenager near his shop. Even though he had been on guard at his stall until 02.30 WIB, there was no sign that a brawl would occur.

"Until three-thirty, I was still chatting. It's okay, we also talk to security, it's quiet," said Heri when met at the location, Saturday, April 9.

"Half past three, we go home to prepare for breakfast, not long after we open a group with information on the brawl incident," he added.

Heri thinks that the brawl is now more modern. Because they can monitor the specified location. When people are busy, postpone doing the violent action. But after quiet, they just started to act.

"The era of social media is more sophisticated, so we can monitor it first when we are busy to guard so that there are no incidents, but when the guard is over, then there is another incident. It seems like he has a monitoring team," he said.

On this occasion, Heri hopes that the police can increase their guard. In order to prevent similar incidents from happening.

"Hopefully the police can increase their guard again. So that there are no further victims," he said.
