Two Toyota Agya Car Thieves In Pandeglang Arrested By The Banten Police Resmob Team

SERANG - The Resmob Unit of the Banten Police Ditreskrimum arrested two men with the initials AL (45) and MS (30) for the theft of a Toyota Agya car with number D 1328 YPU.

AL and MS were captured separately. AL was arrested in the Sukabumi area, West Java, while MS was arrested in the Tigaraksa area, Tangerang. It is known, both are specialist car thieves.

The Head of Sub-Directorate for Jatanras Polda Banten Kompol Akbar Baskoro said the two perpetrators launched their action on Wednesday, April 6, at around 05.00 WIB.

From the results of the interrogation at the place of arrest, the two suspects admitted to taking the victim's car by paying attention to the victim's house first. When the victim's house was quiet, the two perpetrators entered the yard and immediately took the victim's car using a fake key.

"In their actions, the perpetrators took them in several different locations and managed to steal the victim's car and belongings using a fake key," said Akbar Baskoro in a written statement, Thursday, April 7.

Furthermore, the two perpetrators and evidence were secured and taken to the Banten Police Resmob Command Post for interrogation for the development of the other perpetrators.

"The Resmob team has arrested the perpetrators of the theft with weights, then we are developing to find other perpetrators," explained Kompol Akbar.

Akbar added that for their actions the perpetrators were suspected of committing the crime of theft with the weights referred to in Article 363 of the Criminal Code.

"We snared the perpetrators under Article 363 of the Criminal Code with a maximum sentence of 7 years in prison," he said.
