SULTENG - Chairman of the General Election Commission (KPU) of Central Sulawesi Province, Tanwir Lamaming, died of illness at the Anutapura Regional General Hospital, Palu, at around 18.28 WITA, Wednesday, April 6.

Central Sulawesi KPU commissioner Halimah when contacted confirmed the death of Tanwir at the Anutapura Hospital, Palu.

"This morning Mr. Tanwir's office was accompanied by his wife because there was an activity. At around 11.30 WITA they went to the hospital for a health check. Arriving at the hospital he passed out and was unconscious until he breathed his last after breaking his fast," said Halimah, Antara, Wednesday. night.

The deceased has been buried at the Jalan Samudra 3 Palu funeral home, Ulijadi District.

It is reported that Central Sulawesi KPU chairman Tanwir Lamaming has a history of high blood pressure, but it has not been confirmed whether he died from the illness. "Of course we feel lost. During his life, we were together at the KPU, the deceased was a breed, I can't express it in words," Halimah recalled.

Head of the Human Resources (HR) of the Central Sulawesi KPU, Rizal Jasman, said that this morning, Tanwir had taken part in the KPU's internal activities via virtual.

"His departure certainly makes us feel like we have lost a good leader. What happened was the creator's decree. Time cannot be turned back, we can only leave everything to the Creator," said Rizal.

Tanwir Lamaming is the commissioner of the Central Sulawesi KPU for the 2018-2023 period, determined through the RI KPU decision number: 371/PP.06-Kpt/05/KPU/V/2018 dated 21 May 2018.

"The plan is for the deceased to be buried on Thursday (6/4), but we have not received any information from the family at what time he was buried," said Rizal.
