The BJB Fatmawati Bank Robbery Was Carried Out To Coincide With The Maturity Of The Perpetrator's Debt Of IDR 1.5 Billion

JAKARTA - Head of the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKBP Ridwan Soplanit, revealed that the reason BS carried out the robbery at BJB Bank was because he was in debt with his friend with the initial D of Rp. 1.5 billion.

Ridwan said, the perpetrator initially borrowed money with D worth IDR 1 billion since January 2022 for business purposes. However, because the suspect was unable to pay, the interest increased to Rp. 500 million.

"The debt of IDR 1 billion continues to grow to 1.5 billion." Ridwan said when contacted, Wednesday, April 6.

It is known that the police arrested the perpetrators of the robbery at Bank BJB, Jalan Fatmawati Hospital, Cilandak, South Jakarta. The suspect works as an HRD staff of a private bank who has a salary of Rp. 60 million a month. this borrowed from D for business purposes.

But until the specified due date on Friday, April 8th. So that the perpetrators darkened their eyes and carried out an attempted robbery at the BJB Bank.

"So it must be returned within three months, the purpose is for business," he said.

The Head of the South Jakarta Metro Police, Kombes Budhi Herdi Susianto said the same thing. He said the perpetrators were desperate to take the action because they were in debt.

"The suspect is in debt. So on Friday the debt is due and the person concerned must pay the debt, (BS) continues to be pursued by the lender, so that he has a reckless thought to commit a crime," he said.
