MEDAN - Mayor of Medan, North Sumatra, Bobby Nasution hopes that the Indonesian Sovereignty in Reka Cipta (Kedaireka) program from the Ministry of Education and Culture can answer the social problems of the people in this area. "For us the local government, this is a good opportunity to collaborate," said Bobby after receiving representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) in Medan quoted by Antara, Tuesday, April 5. Because, he continued, this program can be a forum for collaboration between local governments involving universities supported by the Ministry of Education and Culture through funding assistance programs. Five priority programs are being focused on by the Medan City Government. Later, he said, it would be concluded which programs could be elaborated on with KedaiReka Kemendikbudristek. "Soon we will tell you what things we can collaborate on. Hopefully, this program will become one of the means to answer social problems in the city of Medan," said Bobby. The Head of the Matching Fund of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Mahir Bayasut explained, Kedaireka is a program of the Ministry of Education and Culture that provides opportunities for all higher education personnel.

Especially, according to him, in publishing and implementing the results of his thoughts in order to answer social problems in the region. "This program also presents sustainable industrial opportunities. For this reason, our presence is to support government programs in the regions," explained Mahir.
