Rumored To Skip To NasDem After Being Removed From The Deputy Chairman Of The DKI DPRD, M Taufik: I'm Still At Gerindra

JAKARTA - Mohamad Taufik responded to the news that he would change parties from Gerindra. This was conveyed by Taufik after learning that he would be removed from the position of Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the Gerindra faction.

Taufik said that even though he would no longer serve as deputy chairman of the DKI DPRD, he would still party at Gerindra. However, he did not rule out the possibility to jump to another party.

Then, rumors also developed that Taufik would change his party to the Nasdem Party.

"Right now, I'm still in Gerindra. If I'm not in Gerindra, then I can think about which one fits our political rhythm. Until now I'm still in Gerindra. Well, we'll just have to wait, take it easy," he said. Taufik when contacted, Friday, April 1.

Taufik's removal from the position of Deputy Chair of the DKI DPRD was also reported to have occurred after the Chair of the Advisory Board of DPD Gerindra DKI prayed for Anies Baswedan as president in the future. Regarding this, Taufik gave his response. According to him, even though he is a Gerindra Party cadre, praying for Anies to become President of the Republic of Indonesia is a natural thing.

"Wait, it's just a matter of prayer, can't you?" he said.

However, Taufik does not know for sure why the party replaced him with another cadre from the leadership position of the DKI DPRD from the Gerindra faction. Whether this removal was due to Taufik's support for Anies or not, he could not be sure.

"Yes, I don't know. I don't understand the reason why it was replaced. But what is clear is that I consider the replacement normal, that's normal," said Taufik.

It is known, the Gerindra Party itself has issued a letter of recommendation to the Chairman of the DKI DPRD Prasetyo Edi Marsudi regarding the removal of Taufik as Deputy Chair of the DKI DPRD. Gerindra offered the name of the head of the Gerindra faction, Rani Mauliani, to replace Taufik as chairman of the DPRD.
