DPRD Appreciates Company's Hand In Helping Build Tornado Victim's House In Keklik

BANGKA BELITUNG - Chairman of the DPRD of Central Bangka Regency, Me Hoa, appreciated the companies that were willing to step in to help rebuild the houses of the victims of the tornado that were razed to the ground in Kepola Village, Central Bangka Regency, Bangka Belitung Islands Province.

"We appreciate that PT Timah Tbk will build a house for the victims of the tornado that collapsed," said Me Hoa in Kepola Village, Friday, April 1, as reported by Antara.

He said PT Timah Tbk's assistance such as building materials, rebuilding a house for underprivileged victims, basic necessities, vegetables, instant noodles to health services for tornado victims really helped the local government in dealing with people affected by this natural disaster.

"The APBD is limited, then the process also takes a long time, so this really needs collaboration with all parties to help people affected by disasters," he said.

Pangkalan Baru Sub-district Head Roy Haris said that seven houses were badly damaged and razed to the ground as a result of this disaster.

"There are seven residents whose houses are badly damaged and razed to the ground. We hope that the company will not only help one but can add more," he said.

Khatijah, the recipient of the aid, was very happy and touched when she heard that the mining company was going to rebuild her house.

"Alhamdulillah, the blessing of sustenance is only Allah who can repay. I really hope this house can be rebuilt. It doesn't have to be big, the important thing is that the house is finished," he said when met by the CSR Team of PT Timah Tbk.
