BIN: IPDN Praja Must Be Instilled With Threat Alert From An Early Age

JAKARTA - The State Intelligence Agency (BIN) stated that the staff of the Institute of Domestic Government (IPDN) must be alerted to various dangers, such as conflicts that come from within and outside the country.

"Praja should have started to instill thoughts of vigilance against threats from an early age. Be aware of conflicts caused by national dynamics," said Head of the Strategic Analysis Board of BIN Lt. Gen. (ret) Muhammad Munir during a public lecture at the Rudini Hall, IPDN Jatinangor Campus, Sumedang Regency, West Java. , Between, Thursday, March 31.

Muhammad Munir was present in the middle of the IPDN staff representing the Head of the State Intelligence Agency, Budi Gunawan, conveying that Indonesia's high diversity will trigger potential conflicts if it is not managed properly.

One way to manage the conflict is to build a national identity which is the duty of the state.

He conveyed that IPDN employees who are in a strategic position because they were born in Generation Z, namely the productive age with a large number, are expected to be able to strengthen their national identity when serving the community as civil service.

Munir conveyed that the Indonesian people must be wary of threats from outside, which can be obtained due to global and regional dynamics, as well as threats from within the country that arise due to differences in SARA elements.

Not only that, Munir also conveyed that IPDN staff must be able to become social glue to minimize conflicts in society.

IPDN Chancellor Hadi Prabowo who was present at the event added that the Praja really needed insight from BIN so that later they could understand what radicalization, terrorism, and so on were meant to be.

This understanding, he said, would help foster a better character when serving the community.

"Our country is an archipelagic country with various tribes, characters and diversity. Of course, the civil servants from all over the archipelago will later serve as the front line of government. So you must be proactive and sensitive to the problems faced by the nation and state," said the Chancellor .

He said the tradition of public lectures held by IPDN by presenting state officials, practitioners, community leaders, non-ministerial government agencies is an effort to become better, understand, know about actual and factual issues.

"Besides that, it is also to form a more analytical thought in addressing the problems and dynamics that are developing," said Hadi.

The public lecture with the theme "Optimizing the Role of the State Intelligence Agency in Conducting Early Detection of Vulnerability to Social Conflicts and National Security" was attended by elements of IPDN officials and the Head of Defense for the Strategic Analysis Council of BIN, TNI Young Marshal Andrian Watimena.

In the event, IPDN awarded the Kartika Astha Brata Utama token of appreciation to the Head of BIN Budi Gunawan for his contribution to IPDN, central government, regional government, society, government science and achievements in the field of government.

In addition to the Head of BIN, IPDN also awarded the Kartika Pamong Praja Muda and Honorary Alumni of Civil Service Higher Education to the Regent of Kampar Catur Sugeng Susanto.
