2 ASN Netted OTT Bekasi Prosecutor In The BPKD Room, Hundreds Of Millions Of Money As Evidence Of Extortion

BEKASI - The Bekasi District Attorney's Office, West Java, carried out an operation to arrest two state civil servants with the initials APS and HF in the Bekasi District Financial Management Agency (BPKD) room. Both are suspected of committing the crime of extortion.

"We have detained two people, state civil servants suspected of abusing their authority," said Head of the Bekasi District Attorney's Office, Ricky Setiawan Anas in Cikarang, Antara, Wednesday, March 30.

He said the arrest was based on the victim's report of extortion by the two officers who allegedly came from the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) representative of West Java Province. APS is known to be the Team Leader while HF is a member of the West Java BPK audit team.

APS and HF received a letter of assignment from the Supreme Audit Agency for the Province of West Java to conduct a detailed examination of the 2021 local government financial statements at the Bekasi Regency Government. Both of them served for 30 days at the Bekasi Regency BPKD.

From the arrests of the two, investigators managed to secure evidence of a sum of money suspected of extorting the two alleged perpetrators against the victim.

"We are calculating the money, it's quite a lot, there are hundreds of millions. We will secure these two people for one 24 hours, later after we have sufficient evidence, we will increase their status," he said.

"They were arrested in one place. At the hotel, it was only a search. There were no other suspects," he added.

He emphasized that his party is still conducting an in-depth investigation by collecting evidence. Ricky confirmed that in the near future there will be further legal decisions regarding today's arrest.

"As soon as possible, at least tomorrow morning we will re-release it by calling friends. What is certain is that the case is an alleged extortion based on reports. If someone is being blackmailed, it means that someone is not happy. he said.
