Ambulance Intercepted By Honda HRV Silver At Cawang Toll Road, Police Explain That Congestion Also Caused President Jokowi To Get Stuck In Traffic

JAKARTA - Head of Highway Patrol (PJR) Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Sutikno explained the cause of congestion on the Jagorawi Toll Road on Tuesday, March 29, morning.

The traffic jam resulted in an ambulance incident that felt blocked by a Honda HRV car on the Toll Road in the Cawang area, East Jakarta, and the video went viral on Instagram social media.

According to AKBP Sutikno, the congestion caused by heavy equipment breaking down in the Cawang Toll Road area. So that the congestion on the Jagorawi Toll Road can only be sterilized around 12.00 WIB.

"Indeed it is very congested, the left and right traffic flow cannot (go) because of the density (traffic). If it gets in the way, I don't think so. (vehicle traffic) is very dense, at 12.00 it will be smooth," explained AKBP Sutikno when contacted by VOI, Tuesday March 29, afternoon.

He said the long snaking traffic jam occurred until the end of the vehicle affected by the traffic jam reached the Cibubur area.

The traffic jam was caused by an asphalt scraper that broke down in the middle of the road.

"So last night there was asphalting and the heavy equipment vehicle broke down in the middle of the road. At 12.00 WIB, it could only be evacuated using two crane units," he said.

As a result, according to AKBP Sutikno, the congestion is also detrimental to all parties (vehicle drivers) on the Jagorawi Toll Road.

"So you can't blame either, because everything was late this morning," he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the incident where the ambulance was blocked by a Honda HRV private vehicle, the Highway Patrol (PJR) of the Polda Metro Jaya Ditlantas will immediately coordinate with the Gakkum Sub-Directorate of the Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya.

"Later we will coordinate with Gakkum. Currently there is no report (from the ambulance)," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that an ambulance unit that was suspected of carrying a patient who was about to undergo surgery to Dharmais Hospital was again blocked by an HRV type car with police number B 2475 TKO.

The incident was uploaded to the Instagram account @emergencyresponseindonesia.

In that post, the incident occurred on the Cawang Toll Road, East Jakarta.

"Instead of pulling over, the HRV car stopped, which made the ambulance stop," wrote the video caption, Tuesday, March 29.

Then after the Honda HRV stopped, it was heard that there was an argument between the ambulance driver and the HRV car driver who blocked the ambulance.
