Formula E Tickets Not Sold Yet, PSI: Lost To Justin Bieber's Concert

JAKARTA - PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro) BUMD has not announced the opening of ticket sales for the Formula E event until now. In fact, previous tickets to watch the race was planned to be opened this month.

In response to this, the chairman of the PSI faction of the DKI Regional House of Representatives, Anggara Wicitra Sastroamidjojo, considers that the DKI Provincial Government is not ready to hold Formula E which will be held on June 4, 2022.

Anggara also compared the readiness of Formula E with musician Justin Bieber's concert. Where the promoter has started selling tickets 8 months before the concert is held in November 2022.

"Formula E lost to Justin Bieber's concert ticket sales. The concert will still be held in November 2022, but tickets are already on sale today. Even information regarding seating locations, prices, can be accessed before ticket sales opened. Bieber is not playing games", said Anggara in his statement, Tuesday, March 29.

Anggara also compared the immaturity of Formula E preparation in Ancol with Formula E in Vancouver and New York. Formula E will be held there in mid-July 2022 and currently, tickets for spectators have gone on sale.

"Take a look at the race series in Vancouver and New York. Formula E will be held in mid-July 2022, but tickets have been on sale since this month, 4 months before the event. We are holding it in June, but ticket sales are not yet available. Then the sales schedule has been postponed. That means It's only been less than two months of promotion. Is that enough?", peck him.

Anggara also reminded DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and his staff not to underestimate the implementation of Formula E.

Apart from the fact that IDR 560 billion of Regional Budget money has been disbursed, Anggara is worried that the failure to organize Formula E will affect the image of Jakarta, including Indonesia.

"We will not tire of reminding the provincial government so that Formula E can be implemented properly. The budget is using public money, IDR 560 billion only for the commitment fee. Preparations have to be done. Don't procrastinate anymore. It's not only Jakarta that is embarrassed if it fails, but also Indonesia", he concluded.
