SEMARANG - Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka and his brother-in-law Bobby Nasution who is also the Mayor of Medan visited the office of the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo. They met in Ganjar Pranowo's private room.

It wasn't long before the three of them met. Only 30 minutes Gibran and Bobby were seen out of Ganjar Pranowo's room. Both were seen accompanied by Ganjar Pranowo.

After the meeting, Bobby admitted that he only stopped by to have lunch together. This meeting was realized, said Bobby, because Ganjar and Gibran invited him.

"The governor and Mr. Gibran were invited to have lunch together. At the same time, I learned from Mr. Ganjar about many things. We learned what we could imitate from Central Java to be applied in Medan," said Bobby, who is also President Joko Widodo's son-in-law after the meeting, Monday, March 28.

Ganjar said the same thing. He said that Gibran and Bobby's arrival was only to stop by for lunch after the Apeksi meeting. Ganjar said he would be invited by Bobby to Medan.

"Mas Bobby also wants to invite me to Medan. Yesterday there was an event with Pujakesuma I couldn't attend, so I wanted to invite again. If Mas Gibran had conveyed the preparations for tomorrow's G20 event in Solo. That's all," said Ganjar.

Asked whether there was a political discussion, Ganjar just laughed. "What politics, the politics is only Solo, Central Java. Wong here is a local person," he concluded.

Gibran previously said this meeting happened by chance. Both of them were in Semarang City and participated in the Indonesian City Government Association (Apeksi) event.

"This morning I met Mr. Ganjar at the Apexic event. This was time for a short gathering. After all, I also have an event with the Governor at the BPK with Bobby, because both are from the Apex event," said Gibran.

Asked what important or political matters were discussed at the meeting, Gibran just smiled. He said there was nothing important, just having lunch together.

"Just lunch, there's no important agenda. Especially about politics, no. I'm just reporting what the situation in Solo is like, it's been a long time since I reported it to Pak Ganjar after I was exposed to COVID-19," he explained.

Indeed, Ganjar gave special messages during the brief meeting. One of them is maintaining the number of Covid-19 ahead of Ramadan.

"Moreover, there are regulations that allow tarawih and going home. This needs to be maintained. I reported earlier that the Covid-19 number in Solo has improved greatly. We will continue to pursue it so that it can go down to level 2 in the near future," he concluded.
