Update On COVID-19 As Of September 27: There Are 3,874 New Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has released data on additional positive cases of COVID-19. From the examination of 37,272 specimens examined, 3,874 people tested positive for COVID-19.

"Since the first case was found in Indonesia, the cumulative total has reached 275,213 people," he was quoted as saying from data from the Ministry of Health, Sunday, September 27.

Then for cases recovered increased 3,611 people. That way, the overall number of cured cases reached 203,014 people. Meanwhile, 78 confirmed positive cases died and a total of 10,386 people.

Referring to data from the Ministry of Health, the province with the most number of positive cases was DKI Jakarta. Around 1,217 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Thus, 70,441 residents of Jakarta have been infected.

Then, other areas include West Java with 437 cases, Central Java with 258 cases, and East Java with 220 positive cases.

Meanwhile, for recovered cases, DKI Jakarta is also still in the first position in the province with the most cases recovered. Around 1,297 people were declared cured of COVID-19.

Then, East Java with 402 people recovered and West Java which said 230 people were cured of COVID-19.

"It was also reported that 4 provinces reported no new cases today. The provinces are Bangka Belitung, Central Sulawesi, North Maluku and Maluku," the data wrote.

There are 6 provinces that report positive cases below the number 10. Some of them, North Kalimantan and East Nusa Tenggara.

Furthermore, the number of specimens examined reached 3,207,055 specimens. In detail, a total of 3,155,488 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 51,567 specimens using molecular rapid tests (TCM).

Finally, the number of people suspected of having contracted COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases was 129,553. At present, 497 districts / cities from 34 provinces have had COVID-19 cases.
