COVID-19 Update As Of March 27: New Cases 3,077, Recovered 12,499

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. The cumulative total of cases stands at 5,998,953 since the first cases were announced on March 2. Meanwhile, new cases per day reached 3,077 people.

Meanwhile, the number of recovered cases today increased by 12,499 people, bringing the total to 5,714,662 people recovered. Meanwhile, positive confirmed cases who died increased by 100 people and a total of 154,670 people.

Meanwhile, the province with the most new cases was in West Java with 686 new cases and a total of 1,095,704 cases. Consists of 681 local transmissions and 5 foreign travelers (PPLN).

Followed by DKI Jakarta with 594 new cases and a total of 1,234,791 cases. It consists of 532 local transmissions and 62 PPLN.

Then, East Java 277 new cases and a total of 572,277 cases. Consists of 268 and 9 PPLN local transmissions.

Next is Central Java with 261 new cases and a total recorded case of 622,390. Consists of local transmission 261 and 0 PPLN.

Then, Banten with 253 new cases and a total of 287,936 cases. Consists of 240 local transmissions and 13 PPLN.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DI Yogyakarta with an increase of 4,022 cases. Then, followed by DKI Jakarta with 1,386 cases recovered. Then, West Java with an increase of 1,361 cases, Central Java with 577 recovered cases, and Lampung with 501 recovered cases.

"The highest death cases were in Central Java with 33 people. Then in East Java with 11 people, in DI Yogyakarta with 10, in South Sumatra with 7, and in Lampung with 6," said Ministry of Health data, Sunday, March 27.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined per day is 96,312. Meanwhile, cumulatively it reached 91,405,206. As for the details, 39,262,105 were examined by RT-PCR, 278,609 were examined by the TMC method and 51,864,492 people were tested for antigen.

"For the number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases, it was recorded at 4,163 people," he said.

Then, the weekly positivity rate for people from March 20 to 26, 2022 is 5.15 percent. While the daily positivity rate is 4.70 percent.

Currently, the number of people who have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination has increased by 170,150 and the total has reached 195,889,215, and the second dose of vaccination has increased by 270,803, the cumulative total has reached 157,840,758. Then the third dose of vaccination increased by 313,673 and the total reached 19,963,841. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination was 208,265,720 people.
