Puan Maharani Opportunity To Duet With Anies, PDIP: There Is Connection

JAKARTA - Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto opened his voice about the possibility of a duet between PDIP DPP Chair Puan Maharani and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan in the 2024 Presidential Election. According to him, Puan and Anies have connections.

"Mbak Puan said she could have dialogue, discuss, moreover, as the chairman of the DPR and Pak Anies as governor, of course there are connections," said Hasto in Jakarta, Sunday, March 27.

The dialogue, continued Hasto, was also open with other figures. In fact, he said, Puan also had connections with all regional leaders, including Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa.

Hasto emphasized that as chairman of the DPR RI, Puan could meet anyone. Because, Puan herself is a community representative from all over Indonesia, not just representing a number of regions.

"So with all the governors there is connectivity, so what Mbak Puan said confirms her commitment to dialogue," she said. Previously, PDI-P (PDIP) Chairwoman Puan Maharani opened the opportunity for a duet with DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan in the 2024 presidential election. Puan emphasized have no problems, let alone to be hostile to Anies.

"It's possible (a duet with Anies), nothing is impossible in politics. All these dynamics can happen. Well, we'll just have to see next year how the story goes, political stories," said Puan, Wednesday, March 23. The chairman of the DPR even often meets Anies accidentally when he is present at a number of events. During the meeting, he did not hesitate to communicate. So, he was surprised if there was even an impression of being hostile to Anies.

"The communication, if there is a need, likes to communicate, and if there is an event there is also communication. Why does it seem that I am hostile to Pak Anies, isn't it," he said.
