JATIM - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo surveyed the Wonokromo Market, East Java (East Java). The goal is to ensure the availability and price of bulk cooking oil.

"Just together with the Governor and Forkopimda to check the distribution of bulk oil related to some time ago there was a shortage and there was also a fairly high price increase. So that affected the community," said Sigit after surveying the market, Saturday, March 26.

The results of market surveys and dialogue with traders showed that the availability of bulk cooking oil was quite safe. However, the distribution still needs to be improved.

"I asked the traders that the average stock was sufficient for one week's needs and the hope of traders that in the next week the distribution of bulk oil in the Wonokromo Market would be sent back," said Sigit.

The former Kabareskrim also emphasized that producers and distributors could accelerate the acceleration of production and distribution. So, there are no more people who complain about the scarcity of cooking oil.

"That's why I ask the distributors for help, what the traders hope can be fulfilled. Maybe in less than a week the needs can be filled again. Especially before Ramadan, of course, the need for oil will increase because there is a need for the month of Fasting," said Sigit

"We hope that in this month of Ramadan there is sufficient bulk oil, especially when it was stated earlier that there are 26 priority markets that can really be filled on time and there will be no more shortages," he continued.

On the other hand, this four-star general had instructed his entire ranks for surveillance. Thus, it can guarantee the availability and price of cooking oil.

"I asked the Regional Police Chief to send his officers from the regional food task force and Bhabinkamtibmas to check which ones were empty and we will inform them immediately to the regional or central level distributors. because it is awaited by the community, especially traders and others," said Sigit.
