Mud Marks On The Formula E Circuit Have Been Paved, Gerindra: Hopefully Giring Won't Fall Again

JAKARTA - Member of the Gerindra faction of the DKI DPRD, Syarif, inspected the construction of the Formula E circuit in the Ancol area, North Jakarta. The circuit path has been paved in the first layer. Now, the second layer of asphalting is being carried out.

Syarif also reviewed the construction of the circuit in zone 5. This zone is known to have a fairly high construction difficulty because it is located on ex-sludge dumping ground.

In fact, some time ago before the asphalting began, PSI General Chair Giring Ganesha had fallen while reviewing this zone.

But now, Syarif admits that he believes this asphalt layer is strong enough to become an electric car racing track. In fact, Syarif joked that Giring would not fall again when he revisited this area.

"Yes, hopefully (Giring) will not fall again. This is a smooth, tidy road, ready to be used (for Formula E racing) and entertaining the public," said Syarif when met at the location, Friday, March 25.

In fact, if needed, Syarif will invite Giring to return to see the appearance of the Formula E circuit construction.

"Yes, I invite, God willing," he said.

Furthermore, Syarif said that the construction of the circuit and other facilities would be completed in May. Based on information from PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro), Syarif said that the construction of the circuit was slightly delayed by several days due to weather constraints.

Construction of the circuit itself began on February 3, 2022. Currently, the progress of paving the electric car racing circuit from zones 1 to 5 has reached 87 percent. The workers are still working on the second layer of asphalt circuit.

"Today we are reviewing (the construction of the Formula E circuit). My estimate is that on May 1 everything has been completed, 100 percent. This means that the target was previously closed this month, a little bit delayed by 2 to 3 days due to a review from the committee. Around the beginning of April it was completed , said Sharif.

After the circuit is completed, PT Jakpro will start installing the stands, paddock or racing team garage, drainage, and other facilities until early May 2022.
