JAKARTA - Nationalist battalion commanders have organized widespread looting in Chernigov, Sumy and Zaporozhye, taking the stolen goods to western Ukraine by ambulance, Colonel General Mikhail Mizintsev, director of Russia's National Defense Management Center, said on Wednesday.

"In addition to the physical extermination of the population in Chernigov, Sumy and Zaporozhye, commanders of nationalist battalions have organized mass looting of residential buildings, and public and private organizations," Mizintsev said.

"They used confiscated ambulances and postal vehicles to carry valuables towards the western border of Ukraine," Mizintsev continued.

Colonel General Mizintsev further said, in Zaporozhye, the nationalists destroyed vital facilities, causing the work of public utilities to be paralyzed.

"In the city of Zaporozhye, public utility operations have been paralyzed. Militants deliberately destroyed critical facilities, while emergency services and ambulance teams, who came to rescue victims and localize the consequences of the destruction, became targets of shooting and extermination," Mizintsev said.

Reported earlier, Mizintsev said Kyiv officials ordered members of the nationalist battalion in Mariupol to leave the city, disguised as civilians, including using humanitarian corridors.

"In the context of official statements by Kyiv about its refusal to carry out humanitarian operations, and the militants to lay down their weapons, they hypocritically instructed the nationalist battalion to leave the city in small groups under the guise of civilians, dressed in civilian clothes," Mizintsev said.

In addition, he also said that nationalist groups were planning chemical attacks in several areas of Ukraine, if Russian troops entered the area.

"Nationalists have placed mines in the ammonia and chlorine storage facilities at the Sumykhimprom chemical plant in Sumy, to poison the inhabitants of the Sumy region if Russian troops enter the city," he said.

Mizintsev added that this was done with the support of the United States and a number of European Union countries, which regard Ukraine as an instrument of anti-Russian policy.
