"The victim, Bripka Reza, was accused of being a mugging friend when he was rescuing the snatchers (from the rampage of the mob), he was beaten. Alhamdulillah, his condition is improving, ”said Head of Palembang Police, Kombes Anom Setiyadji, confirmed by VOI , Friday, September 25.

Anom said that the attack on Bripka Reza began with the task of conducting surveillance of a sniper named Ebot on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, the Air Mancur Roundabout area.

At that time, Bripka Reza and members of the Palembang Police Criminal Unit Ranmor Unit attempted to arrest Ebot and his colleagues. However, the mugging was aware of the police's movement and fled.

The police then chase after Ebot and his scattered partner. According to Anom, Ebot was then arrested by the crowd.

At that time, Bripka Reza was trying to save the perpetrator from the mass rage. However, Bripka Reza was even beaten because he was mistaken for a friend of the mugging. Meanwhile, Ebot's colleague with the initials R is being chased by the police because he managed to escape during an arrest attempt.
