Two Elementary School Students In North Tapanuli Allegedly Abused By Their Teacher

TAPANULI - The North Tapanuli Resort Police (Polres) investigated SH, an unscrupulous religion teacher at the State Elementary School of North Tapanuli (Taput) Regency, North Sumatra, for allegedly molesting two of his students.

"(We) received the report, after we received the complaint at the Taput Police SPK," said North Tapanuli Police Chief, Grand Commissioner Adjutant of Police, Ronald FC Sipayung, through the Head of Public Relations Insp. Adjutant W Baringbing, in a written statement, Wednesday, March 23.

There is not only one victim of sexual abuse committed by teachers against their students.

"There were two students who were victims of sexual abuse by the teacher at the school," he said, as quoted by Antara.

He said an investigation was currently underway into reports of abuse.

The victim and her two parents have been examined, then other witnesses will also be examined.

"After that, we will immediately call the reported party for questioning," he said.

Previously, one of the religious teachers of the Taput Regency State Elementary School was reported to the Taput Police for allegedly committing molestation to his students.

The alleged molester, SH, who works as a civil servant teacher at one of the elementary schools, was reported to the Taput Police SPKT, Friday 19 March.

The incident occurred in the fourth grade room, where at that time the victim was ordered by the teacher to bring sweet tea when no one else was in the class.
