Solar Is Difficult, Garbage Trucks At Mukomuko Bengkulu Stop Operating

MUKOMUKO - Four garbage trucks at the Environmental Service of Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province, since the last three days have stopped operating to transport garbage in residential areas due to the difficulty of getting diesel fuel for these vehicles.

"For the past three days the truck has not received diesel fuel, so it is hampered by transporting garbage in residential areas in this area," said Head of the Mukomuko Regency Environmental Service, M. Rizon, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 22.

The four trucks have been carrying out activities of transporting waste from residential areas to the final waste disposal site (TPA) in this area.

One of the four dum trucks every day is able to transport a minimum of three tons of garbage in residential areas scattered in a number of areas of this area.

"It's possible that a lot of garbage has piled up both in temporary dumps and in every resident's house because for three days the garbage has not been transported," he said.

For the time being, he said, the community processes and uses their own household waste, but the waste is not burned.

Rizon hopes that the local community will be patient with this condition, besides that they must know why until now the waste has not been transported because of the difficulty of getting diesel at public fueling stations in this area.

In addition, Rizon advised the public not to throw garbage anywhere because it can cause air pollution in the surrounding environment.

"It is better if the existing household waste is buried to prevent air pollution and the environment of the surrounding community," he said.

Meanwhile, almost every morning trucks line up to get diesel at the public gas station in Bandar Ratu Village.
