BADUNG - The Kuta, Bali Police Sector Team has arrested a TV theft specialist named Medwan Alfa Mangulu alias Rico alias Suwidi (30).

The perpetrators carried out their actions in four locations in the Kuta area, Badung Regency, Bali, with the mode of renting elite boarding rooms and hotel rooms.

"The perpetrator admitted that he had committed theft at several crime scenes in the Kuta area," said Kuta Police Chief Kompol Orpa Takalapeta, Tuesday, March 22.

The perpetrator's actions were revealed on Thursday, March 17 at the Jalan Kayu Aya boarding house, Seminyak. The perpetrator stole the TV from a room on the 2nd floor.

"Furthermore, the incident was reported to the Kuta Police for further handling," he added.

The police arrested the perpetrators and secured evidence including 2 TV units, 1 antenna cable and two room keys.

From the results of the interrogation, the perpetrator admitted that he had stolen TVs in several elite hotels and boarding houses around Kuta. The perpetrator acted alone by renting a boarding house which contained complete facilities. Meanwhile, stolen goods are sold online.

"After getting a buyer at night, the perpetrator took action to remove the TV in the room. Then took him to a place where the perpetrator and the prospective buyer agreed to meet," he said.
