Anies Appoints A PKS Politician, Ex-Deputy Governor Candidate Nurmansjah, To Be The Commissioner Of The Jakpro BUMD

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan appointed a former candidate for Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta, Nurmansjah Lubis, as commissioner of BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo (Jakpro).

This was confirmed by Nurmansjah. This Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) politician claimed to have served since early August 2020.

"Yes, that's right, (served as commissioner) since August 1, after the fit and proper test in July. Then finally proceeded, called, then interviewed," said Nurmansjah when contacted, Thursday, September 24.

Nurmansjah hopes that he can bring improvements to the performance of the DKI-owned company in the future.

"Hopefully Jakpro can be even better. We work together to contribute to Jakarta. Pray, yes," said Nurmansjah.

Separately, Nurmansjah's placement as Jakpro commissioner was also confirmed by the Secretary of the DKI Riyadi BUMD Development Agency.

Riyadi said that Anies appointed Nurmansjah as a commissioner, from several documents of commissioner candidates who passed the registration selection process.

"When accepted (as a Jakpro commissioner), it means that the Governor agrees. If the Governor does not agree, then the general meeting of shareholders will not appoint," Riyadi said.

Nurmansjah once competed with Gerindra politician Ahmad Riza Patria to become a candidate for Deputy Governor of DKI. Nurmansjah and Riza competed for the second place in DKI after Sandiaga Uno resigned.

Several months of being in the process of lobbying the politics of all factions in the DKI DPRD, the election for the Deputy Governor of DKI was finally held on April 6, 2020.

As a result, Riza was elected as Deputy Governor of DKI and defeated Nurmansjah. Riza got 81 votes from DPRD members, while Nurmansjah got 17 votes.
