The Tragedy Of One Family Died By Electrocution At The Pulomas Elite House, Started When A 1-year-old Baby Wanted To Take An Afternoon Bath With Warm Water

JAKARTA - The Head of Pulogadung Police, Kompol David, again explained that based on a preliminary examination, the witness said that only five people were inhabited in the house where one family died due to electrocution from the water heating machine.

The house is located on Jalan Pulomas Barat 12, No. 4, RT 003/10, Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta, belongs to the parents of the victim who had just been renovated. Police Commissioner David detailed that the five people are Bernard (36), Novianti (29), AE (baby boy). -male age 1 year), Sumiati (51) and a household assistant.

David explained that the incident occurred on Sunday, March 20 at around 16.00 WIB. That afternoon, Novianti (29) was bathing her son with the initials EA (1) in the bathtub.

"Suddenly there was a short circuit. The initial assumption was that the shower heater plug was attached. So the baby (stunted) was hit and the mother finally (had) screamed for help," said Commissioner David to reporters, Monday, March 21. .

Then, he continued, a babysitter named Suratmi (51) came to the direction of Novianti's screams. It turned out that Novianti was electrocuted. Likewise, Suratmi was also electrocuted.

"Then the husband (Bernard) who was eating rushed to the wife and children who were in the bathroom. Bernard came towards the screaming wife and child who were in the bathroom," he said.

Sumiati and Bernard were also suspected of being electrocuted.

"There were 5 people in the house (4 electrocuted victims and a maid). Not long after, this maid (one survived) had a separate room. She didn't know but she heard screams. She went to the bathroom and found the positions of the victims ( 4 people) are already lying down," he said.

Commissioner David explained, the owner of the house is the parent of the victim who died.

"So this is his son (victim) wants to live there, the house has only been renovated for 2 months. Just wants to occupy it. The bodies (Bernard Gunawan, Novianti and their child with the initials EA) have been taken to Heaven's funeral home," he said.

Currently, the case is still being investigated by the Pulogadung Police.

"It's still being investigated, related to the incident. There is a black (colored) electric shock plug (which) is burnt," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a tragic event was experienced by a family consisting of husband, wife and children with the initials BG (37), NB (29) and EA (1) on Sunday, March 20, evening.

They died after it was strongly suspected that they were electrocuted from a water heater in a bathroom in their house, which is located at Jalan Pulomas Barat 12, No. 4, RT 003/10, Kayu Putih Village, Pulogadung District, East Jakarta.

Apart from that one family, a babysitter with the initials SM (51) also died along with the other family. As a result of the electric shock incident, a total of 4 people died.
