Realizing Health Tourism, Garut Regency Government Prepares Specialist Hospital

JAKARTA - In order to realize a healthy tourism district or health tourism, Garut is improving. One of them by setting up a specialist hospital.

"So Garut, like it or not, has to have a specialist hospital," said Garut Deputy Regent Helmi Budiman, quoted by Antara, Sunday, March 20.

He stated that the central government provides an opportunity for Garut Regency to become a healthy tourist area so that it is necessary to prepare human resources and specialist hospitals.

He hopes that health workers, especially nurses, will sharpen their skills and have specialists to create a healthy tourism district.

"Later nurses will also have to be specialist nurses, why? Because Garut is given the opportunity to become a health tourism district, so it is a healthy tourism," he said.

He said there are several things that must be prepared by the local government in realizing healthy tourism, one of which must have a hospital or specialist clinic.

Hospitals in Garut, he said, were no longer common but became specialists, for example heart hospitals, mental health hospitals, drug hospitals, eye hospitals, and so on.

"For lung hospitals, we are releasing it with the ministry," he said.

He also invited nurses, especially those who are members of the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI) to be more professional and have their own specialists to go to healthy tourism in Garut Regency.

"Perhaps in the health centers, there will also be seniors or maybe those who have recently had to adjust because we are hopefully 'health tourism', so we will have healthy tourism in Garut Regency," said Helmi Budiman.
