JAKARTA - The Kodam Jaya team is investigating the attack by an armed criminal group (KKB) at the Gome Koramil Post, Puncak Regency, Papua. Three TNI members died in the attack.

The TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa said there were irregularities in the chronology of the attack so the Kodam Investigation Team had to be dispatched to carry out further investigations related to the case.

The investigation was carried out after the TNI Commander met with the entire TNI Legal Team to discuss various cases involving TNI members. One of them is about the attack on Pos Gome Papua.

"It turned out that the result was a lie, what happened was not what was reported. What happened was hidden by Danki (Company Commander) Battalion Commander," said Panglima Andika, quoted on General TNI Andika Perkasa's YouTube account, Friday, March 18.

However, Andika confirmed that this was a criminal act of murder committed by the KKB, but there was the role of the Company Commander who did not take into account and underestimated the place where his members served, resulting in the attack taking place.

"Yes, that's right, those who commit crimes, murder are armed groups, but there is also this role. The role of deploying company commanders, in this case as postal commanders, in places that are not taken into account, is underestimated," he said.

With the proof that there are indeed irregularities caused by false reports, the Postal Commander will be prosecuted according to the violations committed. The TNI Commander ordered the TNI Puspom together with the TNI AD Puspom to immediately follow up.

"Because we're all here thinking about how to protect our members, it's just like this. I mean, it's a very short consideration. Ooh, we got money for security there, everything was sacrificed," he said.

"So I want a legal process against this Danpos, or the Company Commander. It will be completed so that it becomes a lesson," said Panglima Andika.
