Commander Andika Guards Legal Case Involving TNI Members, One Thief Beaten In North Sumatra

JAKARTA - The TNI Commander General Andika Perkasa chaired a meeting with the TNI Legal Team to discuss legal violations involving members of the TNI in various regions.

The meeting began with an explanation from the TNI Legal Team regarding the development of a number of legal cases involving members of the TNI and the cases were already ongoing in the military and general courts.

"For earlier, what went viral was the theft and beating, if I'm not mistaken it will happen in 2021 in North Sumatra (North Sumatra)," said Marsda TNI Reki Irene Lumme after explaining one of the cases involving members of the TNI, quoted from the TNI Commander's personal YouTube account, Tuesday 15 March.

The TNI Commander explained that violations of the law involving members of the TNI must also be accompanied by appropriate punishments for the perpetrators. For this reason, the TNI Commander provides directions so that the ranks of the Prosecutor General (Orjen) have signs so that they can provide recommendations for decisions that are in accordance with the violations committed.

"Yes, that's an example, you have been sentenced to discipline, but there is no connection between his actions and his punishment. So this is also a lesson on how to make this Prosecutors have signs, which ones can be recommended for all kinds. We must have signs, you can't play That's all, there must be communication with Otmil (Military Authority)," explained the TNI Commander.

The Commander wants the meeting to be held regularly, in order to continue to oversee all cases of violations involving members of the TNI. Full attention is given by the TNI Commander in strict law enforcement for all violations involving TNI personnel

"I want the Otmil ranks to have signs. One, how far can they suggest if they haven't reported to the Orjen (Oditur General) TNI," he said.

On that occasion, the TNI Legal Team who attended the meeting with the TNI Commander, namely the Central Commander of the Military Police from the three dimensions, as well as investigators and the ranks of the TNI's Prosecutor General.
