JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta Provincial House of Representatives Muhammad Taufik said the ability of planting media under the grass at the Jakarta International Stadium (JIS) main field to absorb water will be tested again on March 23, 2022.
"On March 23, we will come for a water infiltration test," Taufik told reporters at the JIS main field, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, Sunday.
Taufik explained that the DKI Jakarta Provincial DPRD together with the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will come to see the water infiltration trial at JIS on March 23.
Taufik hopes that when there is stagnant water, the planting media under JIS grass will be able to absorb it into the soil within five minutes.
"Earlier I asked this, he said the water infiltration was finished in three minutes. Even though the standard was five minutes. So, it should have exceeded (the standard)," said Taufik.
Taufik is also optimistic that the construction of the Jakarta International Stadium can be completed according to schedule, so that it can be used in April.

"I think this April everything is finished, it's neat, this is a 24-hour work. The remaining two percent are just finishing, and cleaning," said Taufik.
