Sandiaga Uno Makes Regional Products Upgrading Through Targeted Programs

JAKARTA - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Uno invites culinary players in Pontianak City to take the class by strengthening their products in terms of creativity, innovation and collaboration.

Sandiaga assesses that quality improvement can open up the widest possible employment opportunities.

Sandiaga Uno also expressed his appreciation for the efforts that have been made by the Pontianak City Government and Tanjungpura University in fostering MSMEs with creative economic actors as part of economic revival.

According to him, tourism in the future must be coupled with the creative economy because creative economy products will create jobs. He hopes that educational institutions will also play a role because these MSMEs have to go up a grade.

"It is our duty to open up business and job opportunities. The government must come up with programs that are right on target, right on benefits, and on time," said Sandiaga, Saturday, March 12.

The Mayor of Pontianak, Edi Rusdi Kamtono expressed his gratitude for the support and arrival of Sandiaga who gave encouragement to the residents of Pontianak, especially SMEs to continue to rise.

"We will propose event activities to support fashion by curating MSME products and it is hoped that it can spur the motivation of fashion actors in Pontianak. Coincidentally, there will be an event called Titik (Pesona) Kulmination," he said.
