Extraordinary! Ambon Pattimura International Airport Becomes The Best In The Asia Pacific Region At The 2021 ASQ Awards

AMBON - A proud achievement was achieved by Pattimura International Airport, Ambon, Maluku. The airport, which is managed by PT Angkasa Pura I, won the best airport award in the Asia Pacific region at the 2021 Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Awards.

Ambon Pattimura International Airport won in the airport category with a capacity of less than two million passengers per year. The award was also given by Airport Council International (ACI), said General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Ambon Pattimura International Airport Branch, Pribadi Maulana, as reported by Antara, Saturday, March 12.

This achievement is claimed to be a form of acknowledgment of the ongoing efforts that have been given by Ambon Pattimura International Airport in maintaining and improving service standards.

This continuous effort is evidenced by the increase in scores in the assessment of airport services through the ASQ program throughout 2021. In the first quarter of 2021 (January – March 2021), Ambon Pattimura International Airport received an assessment score of 4.65.

Furthermore, successively obtained an assessment score of 4.89 in the second quarter of 2021 (April – June 2021), an assessment score of 4.97, in the third quarter (July – September 2021), and an assessment score of 4.98 in the fourth quarter (October – December 2021).

Ambon Pattimura International Airport is considered to have made a significant effort in gathering feedback from passengers through the ASQ program. This effort helps airports to better understand customer needs.

Not only that, this airport also provides information on an ongoing basis regarding excellent service to customers.

"This success is a manifestation of PT Angkasa Pura I's commitment and efforts to provide the best service for Ambon Pattimura Airport users," he said.

This award at the 2021 ASQ Awards further complements the achievements of Ambon's Pattimura International Airport which previously received an appreciation of "The 2021 Voice of The Customer Recognition" from Airport Council International (ACI).

This appreciation was given to Ambon Pattimura International Airport as an airport that continues to prioritize consumers, and remains committed to ensuring that consumers' voices are still heard during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021.

Personal Maulana also said that the award was part of the achievement of PT Angkasa Pura I which also received similar awards at other airports managed.

These airports include Semarang's Ahmad Yani International Airport and Surakarta's Adi Soemarmo International Airport as the best airports in the Asia Pacific region, in the Airport category with a capacity of 2 to 5 million passengers per year.
