Temanggung Regency Government Holds Interim Village Pilkades In Five Villages

TEMANGGUNG - The Temanggung Regency Government, Central Java, is ready to hold interim village head elections (pilkades) in five villages because the village head in question died or was dismissed.

The Head of Village Administration, Community Empowerment and Village Service of Temanggung Regency, Ragil Budi Ilsyantoro, mentioned the five villages, namely Gunungsari Village, Bansari District, Kemloko Village, Kranggan District, Prangkokan Village, Bejen District, Tegalrejo Village, Ngadirejo District, and Nglarangan Village, Tretep District.

According to him, the reason for the five villages holding inter-temporal pilkades is because the village head died, except in Gunungsari Village, the village head in question was dismissed after being involved in a drug case.

Ragil said that the five villages had already registered for the village head candidate and there were three villages that had to conduct a competency test on the village head candidate because there were more than three registrants.

"Villages that must hold a competency test for prospective village heads are Kemloko, Tegalrejo, and Gunungsari," he said in Temanggung, as reported by Antara, Friday, March 11.

Based on the maximum regulations, he said, three candidates had to come forward in the interim pilkades and it could be implemented in two ways, namely through consensus deliberation or elections depending on the agreement in the village deliberations (musdes). local village community.

Ragil mentioned the implementation of the inter-temporal village election musdes in Gunungsari Village on March 14 2022, Kemloko Village (17 March 2022), Prangkokan Village (23 March 2022), Tegalrejo Village (24 March 2022), and Nglarangan Village (30 March 2022).

In addition to holding inter-temporal village elections, the local government at the end of June 2022 will hold simultaneous village elections in 37 villages.
