NTT - The Provincial Government of East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) held a traditional procession of handing over land and water from various regions in the archipelago-based province to welcome the National Capital of the Archipelago (IKN) in East Kalimantan.

The process of handing over land and water was carried out by seven regional heads representing seven islands in NTT to the Governor of NTT Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat in Kupang, Friday, March 11.

The seven regents who handed over land and water represented a number of islands in NTT, namely Regent Belu dr.Taolin Agustinus representing Timor Island, Regent of Sabu Raijua, Nicodemus Nithanael Rihi Heke representing the area of Sabu Raijua Island.

The handover of land and water by the Regents and community leaders in NTT began with traditional rituals from each region.

The Governor of East Nusa Tenggara Province, Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat, said that the water and land would be transferred to the candidate for the capital of the Indonesian archipelago in East Kalimantan on March 13, 2022.

"On March 13, we will bring this land and water to East Kalimantan to be combined with land and water from various other provinces on March 14 in the presence of the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo," said Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat accompanied by the Deputy Governor of NTT, Josef A.
