PPKM Level 2, Transjakarta Until MRT Has 100 Percent Capacity

JAKARTA - The DKI Provincial Government has relaxed the passenger capacity of public transportation in Jakarta in line with the implementation of PPKM Level 2 this week. Previously, the passenger carrying capacity was 70 percent, now it has become 100 percent.

This is stated in the Decree of the Head of the DKI Transportation Agency Number 145 of 2022 concerning Technical Instructions for Setting Transport Capacity and Operational Time of Transportation Facilities During the PPKM Level 2 COVID-19 Period.

"Regulation of transport capacity for users of transportation modes for the movement of people and goods that transport people or goods is subject to a maximum capacity setting of 100 percent, with stricter implementation of health protocols," wrote the Head of the DKI Dishub Syafrin Liputo in a decree, March 10.

Syafrin stipulates that the Transjakarta mode, regular public transportation on the route, MRT Jakarta and LRT Jakarta operate from 05.00 WIB to 21.30 WIB.

Meanwhile, water transportation operates from 05.00 WIB to 18.00 WIB and night transportation from 21.31 WIB to 22.30 WIB.

However, passenger capacity on the Jabodetabek KRL is still limited to 60 percent with operating hours starting at 04.00 to 22.00 WIB.

Then, in PPKM Level 2, online motorcycle taxis and motorcycle taxis are still prohibited from crowding more than 4 people, and must maintain a minimum distance of 1 meter between drivers while waiting for passengers.
