Gerindra Values The Swelling Cost Of The Formula E Circuit Is Reasonable, There Is No Need For A New Tender Contract

JAKARTA - Member of the Gerindra faction of the DKI DPRD, Syarif, sees the increase in the cost of constructing the Formula E circuit from IDR 50 billion to IDR 60 billion is a natural thing.

Syarif explained that if the construction expenditure exceeds the value of the contract signed during the determination of the winner of the tender, there is no need to make a new contract.

BUMD PT Jakarta Propertindo and PT Jaya Konstruksi, continued Syarif, only need to add an addendum to the contract for the construction of the electric car race track.

"In the procurement system, addendums are normal. So, there is no need for a new contract. In my opinion, there is nothing special about that," Syarif told reporters, Wednesday, March 9.

Moreover, according to Syarif, the Rp10 billion increase in the budget is understandable. Because, currently the circuit is built permanently and can be used many times.

"This is really used to increase the quality to become permanent. Previously, it was semi-permanent," he said.

Previously, the chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD criticized the addition of the cost of constructing the circuit. In fact, according to Gembong, if the amount of the cost has been stated in the contract, then the cultivating company must be prepared to bear all risks, including the consequences of rising construction costs.

Therefore, Gembong said there must be a new contract to include the additional cost of building the track.

"When there are additional costs, yes there are consequences, there are additional costs. If you want it like that, yes, a new contract because it is not in accordance with the first contract," said Gembong.
