Losses Of Online Arisan Victims With Police Suspect And His Wife In Banjarmasin Soar Rp11 Billion

BANJARMASIN - The victims of the fictitious online social gathering with the suspect Bhayangkari and her husband, a member of the Banjarmasin Police, have now swelled to Rp11 billion.

"The results of the latest investigation found that the victim's losses had reached Rp. 11 billion from the previous Rp. 8.8 billion," said Head of Public Relations of the South Kalimantan Police, Kombes Mochamad Rifa'i, in Banjarmasin, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 8.

Meanwhile, the number of victims is still the same, namely 320 people. However, Rifa'i said he still did not rule out the possibility of other victims, so the police hoped that the public could report them if they were victims.

"Please come to the Satreskrim of the Banjarmasin Police or the Ditreskrimum of the South Kalimantan Police to make a report or simply provide information," he said.

According to Rifa'i, accurate data regarding the number of victims and the total loss is important for investigators as a step to find evidence to confiscate all assets belonging to the suspect suspected of being the result of the fraudulent practice of the fictitious online social gathering.

Investigators ensnared the suspect RA and her husband MS with Law Number 8 of 2010 concerning the Prevention and Eradication of the Crime of Money Laundering (TPPU).

He said the speedy resolution of cases was now a priority because the community, especially the victims, had been waiting for it.

Rifa'i ensured that the investigation was professional and transparent, even though it involved unscrupulous members of the National Police. The police officer is also threatened with internal sanctions which are currently being processed by the Propam Division of the South Kalimantan Police.
