JAKARTA - The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) finally opened its voice regarding the meeting between BUMN Minister Erick Thohir and PT Pertamina (Persero) President Commissioner Basuki Tjahaja Purnama (BTP) or Ahok, yesterday.

As is known, Ahok met Erick Thohir after his video which revealed Pertamina's disgrace, from the problem of the director's hobby of lobbying ministers to debt, going viral and getting various public reactions.

Special Staff to the Minister of BUMN Arya Sinulingga said that Erick Thohir called Ahok to ask for clarification on the viral video. During the meeting, Ahok also provided input and conveyed the problems he had encountered at Pertamina.

According to Arya, the input given by Ahok regarding problem solving in this state-owned company was very good and received by Erick Thohir.

"The Minister wants to clarify the input from Pak Ahok. So at this meeting Pak Ahok conveyed what he saw at Pertamina, what the existing weaknesses were and gave them all to the Minister," he told reporters, Friday, September 18.

Not only receiving input from Ahok, said Arya, Erick also provided information that he also saw and knew to Ahok. Because, as Komut Ahok has the duty to oversee the state-owned company.

"The Minister also shared what he saw from the available information, from here it could be put together and indeed as Komut Pak Ahok was assigned by the Ministry of BUMN to supervise Pertamina. That is part of Pak Ahok's job," he said.

Erick Thohir, said Arya, also asked Ahok to build a strong team at Pertamina. Then, carry out a transformation in the oil and gas BUMN. So that Pertamina can carry out internal transformations according to the ministry's direction.

"So Pak Ahok's job is one of them to carry out a transformation at Pertamina by also involving the team inside to get stronger, so the Minister asked Pak Ahok to strengthen his teamwork," he said.

However, Ahok did not reveal the suggestions and criticisms he conveyed to Erick. He only said that Erick advised him to maintain solidity and carry out the transformation of BUMN.

"And I will also keep Pak Erick's message, to maintain teamwork solidity and continue to transform BUMN," said Ahok.
