SURABAYA - Bambang Suryo, one of the suspects in match-fixing and bribery in the League 3 Zone of East Java, was immediately detained at the East Java Police Headquarters.

The confirmation of the detention was conveyed by the Head of the Sub-Directorate for State Security at the East Java Regional Police, AKBP Taufiqurrahman, after investigators examined Bambang as a suspect on Tuesday, March 8, 2022.

"Yes, that's right, the person concerned was immediately detained," Taufiq told reporters.

Bambang Suryo is one of five suspects in the case reported by the East Java PSSI Asprov Disciplinary Committee (Komdis). Based on information in the field, Bambang was accompanied by his legal adviser, Agustian Siagian, to undergo examination as a suspect at the Ditreskrimum Polda East Java at around 12.30 WIB today.

"I am here to attend the examination as a suspect," Bambang told reporters.

Bambang said his party would undergo additional investigations regarding the alleged involvement of a number of parties in the match-fixing case that ensnared him. He also had time to show an HVS A4 paper which he admitted contained the names of those involved and he would present it to investigators.

But Bambang did not mention who was involved which he would reveal to investigators.

"There are (from) federations, there are clubs, also all," he said briefly.
