Chief Medical Officer Of The Cisimeut Health Center Says Hundreds Of Baduy Residents Have Been Vaccinated Against COVID-19: Everything Is Safe

LEBAK - Chief Medical Officer of the Cisimeut Health Center, Leuwidamar, Lebak Regency, Iton Rustandi said that hundreds of Baduy residents, including insiders, had been injected with the COVID-19 vaccine since January 2022. However, there was not a single abnormality during the injection.

"We've had hundreds since January (2022) we vaccinated the Baduy people. Everything is safe. Even in Baduy, we don't have any vaccines that are immune," said Iton when contacted by Voi.id, Sunday, March 6.

Iton considered the video that was suspected to be a Baduy person to be a hoax. This is based on the habit of local residents who have rules that prohibit their children from going to school.

"Hoax, it means the video exists. but not Baduy people. Right, no Baduy (people) are allowed to go to school," he said.

In addition, according to medical science, Iton ensures that there is no explanation that says people can be immune to needles, let alone small children.

"Nothing, moreover it's a very sharp needle with a small logic like that. That's why we discussed it with the vaccine team, no school children are immune," he said.

Previously reported, a video showing an elementary school student who seemed unable to get an injection when he was about to be vaccinated against COVID-19 caused a stir. This video has also gone viral on social media.

In the video uploaded to the Twitter account @Alfajri221819, the boy wearing elementary school clothes is seen silent when the vaccine is about to be injected.

The officer who tried to administer the injection was unable to insert the needle into the boy's arm. In fact, the experiment was repeated several times.

In the upload, it was stated that the Banten Provincial Health Office had difficulties in injecting children from the Outer Baduy Tribe. This is because children are equipped with immune knowledge by their parents.

"Banten Provincial Health Office has difficulty injecting vaccines to Outer Baduy Tribe children because many children are provided with immune knowledge by their parents," the account wrote.
